Dufour, Wagner Sign in WHL

Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Mirco Dufour and Aiden Wagner have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

A forward from Chestermere, AB, Dufour was selected in the first round, 19th overall by the Everett Silvertips. Dufour joined Edge School for the 2022/23 season, leading his team and finishing third in the league with 54 points in 27 games. This season his 42 points were second in team scoring while his 2.00 PTS/GP were a team high. Dufour would add seven points in five playoff games as Edge made it to the finals of the CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championships.

Selected in the second round, 25th overall by the Regina Pats. Wagner joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U15 Prep team for the 2023/24 season. He would lead the NAX blue-line with 4 goals, 19 assists and 23 points in 22 games. The Yorkton, SK defenseman added three goals and three assists in five playoff games as NAX captured their second straight CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship, beating Edge in overtime.

Dufour and Wagner are each the fifth skater from their respective CSSHL teams to sign WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
