The Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have named Jeff Shantz as their newest Head Coach and General Manager.
Shantz, who played 642 games in the National Hockey League, spent the last five seasons coaching in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with Edge School. He joined the program in 2017/18, spending that season as their U15 head coach.
In 2018/19 he would take over the head coaching duties of the U15 Prep team, leading them for four seasons, including a semi-final appearance this year at the 2022 CSSHL Western Championships.
