Delta Wins First CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship

Delta Hockey Academy won their first ever U15 Prep Western Championship with a 7-3 win over RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna on March 15, 2022.

In an extremely competitive U15 Prep division, Delta and RHA Kelowna finished seventh and fifth respectfully in the regular season  before earning their way to the finals.

Dylan Ruff would open the scoring for RHA Kelowna 4:54 into the game. But Jovan Sandhu would respond for Delta just 16 seconds later to even the score at one. A Noah Smith shot from the point, with 4:59 remaining in the period, would beat Armaan Kaila to give RHA Kelowna a 2-1 lead heading into the second.

But the second period belonged to Delta who would get a pair of goals from Damian Kravcak (3G,1A), while Jackson DeGraves (1G,2A) and Chase Harrington (2G,4A) would each find the back of the net.

Kravcak would record his hattrick marker 11:56 into the third to extend the Delta lead to 6-2. Harrington would add an empty netter to seal the deal, though a Hudson Kibblewhite (1G,1A) goal with four seconds remaining would see the game end 7-3 in Delta’s favour.
