Colton Dach has signed a National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Level Contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, after being selected in the second round, 62nd overall at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Dach, who’s older brother Kirby plays for the Blackhawks, was recently traded to the Kelowna Rockets, after spending the last two seasons with the Saskatoon Blades in the Western Hockey League (WHL). The Blades selected Dach sixth overall in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft and he would go on to record 49 points in 82 games for the team.
The Fort Saskatchewan, AB forward spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with OHA Edmonton, playing for their U15 Prep team in 2016/17 and 2017/18. He would record 20 points in 30 games his first year, before exploding offensively for 69 points in 30 games year two as OHA Edmonton would win a U15 Prep CSSHL League Championship.
