CSSHL Female Student-Athletes Named to Provincial Teams

26 current and 2 former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) female student-athlete have been named to their respective provinces Female U18 team that will compete at the 2021 Western Regional Women’s U18 Championship in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, November 1-6.

Alberta, B.C, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan will all compete at the 2021 Western Regional Women’s U18 Championship. A three-game round robin will be played, followed by semi-finals with teams advancing to either the Bronze or Gold Medal final.

The six CSSHL student-athletes representing Team Alberta make up four different programs:

  • Taylor Catcher – Northern Alberta Xtreme Female U18 Prep
  • Kendal Davidson – South Alberta Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep
  • Alysia Grotsky – Edge School Female U18 Prep
  • Hanna Perrier – Edge School Female U18 Prep
  • Anjali Simms – Delta Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep
  • Farah Walker – Edge School Female U18 Prep

Former Northern Alberta Xtreme Female U18 Prep defenseman Sadie Makokis was also named to the team.

The12 CSSHL student-athletes on Team BC make up more than half of the roster:

Kris Hogg, the RINK Kelowna Female U18 Prep head coach, will serve as the team’s head coach, while Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U17 Prep head coach Venla Hovi joins the staff as an assistant.

Team Manitoba includes four CSSHL student-athletes:
