CSSHL alum Poisson commits to Providence

Canadian Sport School Hockey League alum Nick Poisson has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at Providence College.

Poisson, 17, attended the BWC Academy from 2016 to 2018.

During the 2016-17, he helped the BWC Academy capture the 2017 CSSHL Elite 15 Championship after posting 12 points (6-6-12) in 30 regular season games, along with two points (1-1-2) in five post-season games.

The Vancouver, B.C. product spent the 2017-18 season with the BWC Academy Midget Prep team, collecting 42 points (17-25-42) in 35 games, along with adding one assist in three games at the 2018 BDO CSSHL Championships.

The 5-foot-10 forward is currently playing with the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings, where he helped the team capture the 2019 BCHL Championship. In 58 regular season games, Poisson tallied 30 points (14-16-30), while adding nine points (4-5-9) in 17 playoff games.
