CSSHL alum named Assistant Coach of OHA Female Varsity

Okanagan Hockey Group (OHG) Vice-President Dixon Ward announced today that Alyssa MacMillan has been named the Assistant Coach with the Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) Female Varsity team.

MacMillan, 21, is an OHA graduate having attended the program in Penticton from 2011 to 2016.

“We are very excited to have Alyssa returning to our program in a coaching capacity,” said Ward. “She was a model student athlete during her playing days with us and was a leader both on and off the ice. Her experience, not only within our program, but as well as at the collegiate level will help her guide and lend support to our current female students.”

After graduating from Penticton Secondary School, MacMillan attended and played NCAA hockey at the University of North Dakota during the 2016-17 season, tallying six points (1-5-6) in 36 games as a true freshman. She would then go on to attend and play USports hockey at the University of Ottawa.

MacMillan most recently played professionally in the Swedish Women’s Hockey League with Göteborg HC, where she amassed 11 points (7-4-11) in 30 games.
