Canadian Sport School Hockey League alum Jake Harrison has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Harrison, 20, attended the Pursuit of Excellence for three seasons, beginning in 2012.

After two seasons at the U15 Prep level, the 5-foot-10 defenceman spent the 2014-15 season with Pursuit’s U18 Prep team, where he amassed 16 points (8-8-16) in 23 games, along with one assist in three post-season contests.

The West Kelowna, B.C. product spent the past five seasons with his hometown West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL, along with a stint with the Fargo Force of the USHL.

In 166 career BCHL games, Harrison recorded 83 points (18-65-83), while also adding 16 points (4-12-16) in 36 career playoff games. He helped the Warriors capture the BCHL Championship and National Championship in 2016.

Harrison joins a University of Nebraska-Omaha squad that features fellow CSSHL alums Kirby Proctor and Taylor Ward.
