Colgate University Adds Two CSSHL Student-Athletes

Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Jaimee Spring and Farah Walker have committed to Colgate University for the 2023/24 NCAA season.

Spring joined the CSSHL in 2020/21 with the Edge School Female U18 Prep team. In two games she would record one point. She would return to Edge the following season, finishing with 10 points in 26 games. The Cranbrook, BC defenceman would move closer to home for the 2022/23 season as she joined RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna, adding 19 points in 29 games. Spring would help RHA Kelowna capture the 2023 CSSHL Female U18 Prep Western Championship this season, scoring once in five playoff games.

Walker spent four seasons in the CSSHL, joining Edge School for the 2019/20 U15 season where she would record 8 wins, a 3.60 GAA and .891 SV%. She would be named the CSSHL U15 Division Top Goaltender Award Winner at the conclusion of her season.  Walker would suit up for the Edge Female U18 Prep team the following COVID-19 shortened season, playing in one game. In 2021/22 Walker would play 16 games for the Edge Female U18 Prep team, winning 8 of them while posting a 2.46 GAA and .921 SV%. In 2022/23 the Airdrie, AB netminder would join Okanagan Hockey Academy’s Female U18 Prep team. In 16 games she would post a 2.33 GAA and .931 SV% while winning 7 games.

Walker represented Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship in Sweden, winning gold with the team.

Located in Hamilton, New York, Colgate University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
