The Calgary Canucks have signed three current and one former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete for the 2022/23 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season.
Elijah Anderson spent the 2021/22 season with the South Alberta Hockey Academy (SAHA) U18 Prep team. The Calgary, AB forward finished with a team best 30 assists while his 44 points were second most on the team.
A defenseman from De Winton, AB, Connor Frost recorded 3 assists in 27 U18 Prep games with SAHA this season, his lone season in the CSSHL.
Brody Simpson spent two seasons in the CSSHL with Shawnigan Lake School. He would join the program in 2018/19, recording 14 points in 30 U15 Prep games. The Parksville, BC forward would follow that season up with 26 points in 17 U17 games in 2019/20.
Originally drafted by the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 10th round of the 2020 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft, Cole Unger joined SAHA for the 2021/22 season. The Dunmore, AB defenseman recorded 11 assists in 35 games.
