BWC Academy U18 Prep defenseman Cameron Sytsma has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement with the Everett Silvertips.
Originally drafted in the sixth round, 131st overall by the Silvertips in the 2021 WHL Draft, Sytsma recorded 12 points in 27 U18 Prep Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) games with BWC Academy this season. He would add an additional one assist in five games as BWC Academy captured a U18 CSSHL League Championship.
Prior to that the Surrey, BC product spent one season with the St. George’s U15 Prep team, and one with the West Van Academy U15 team, winning a CSSHL U15 League Championship in 2019/20.
Sytsma was part of the gold medal winning Team BC at the 2021 WHL Cup, recording one point in five games.
