The Swift Current Broncos have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Mathew Ward to a standard Western Hockey League Player Agreement.
Ward, 15, has attended the Delta Hockey Academy the past two seasons, most recently suiting up for their Bantam Prep Green team, where he registered 64 points (24-40-64) in 30 games, as well as adding two goals in three games at the 2019 BDO CSSHL Championships.
The previous season, Ward netted 30 points (10-20-30) in 30 games with the Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep White team.
Ward was selected in the first round, 14th overall, by the Broncos at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
