The Swift Current Broncos have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Owen Pickering to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
Pickering, 16, attended the Rink Hockey Academy during the 2019-20 season, suiting up in 34 games with their U16 Prep team, notching five goals and 16 assists for 21 points, while also adding three assists in two post-season games.
The six-foot-two defenceman also appeared in three games with the Rink Hockey Academy U18 Prep team.
Pickering, a product of St. Adolphe, MB, was selected by the Broncos in the ninth round, 177th overall, at the 2019 WHL Draft.
