Bochen commits to attend and play NCAA hockey at Michigan

Canadian Sport School Hockey League graduate Nick Bochen has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at the University of Michigan.

Bochen, 17, attended the BWC Academy from 2016 to 2018.

During the 2017-18 season, he posted 29 points (9-20-29) in 32 regular season games with the BWC Academy Midget Prep team, while the previous season he captured the CSSHL Elite 15 Championship after netting 18 points (5-13-18) in 28 games, as well as six points (2-4-6) in five games at the 2017 BDO CSSHL Championships.

The Vancouver, B.C. product joined the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings at the end of last season and is currently in his first full season with the club. In 49 career BCHL games, Bochen has registered 28 points (7-21-48).

The University of Michigan men’s ice hockey program competes in the NCAA Division I Big Ten Conference. They have captured nine NCAA National Championships, the latest of which in 1998 and have advanced to the Frozen Four on 25 teams, including in 2018.
