RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna student-athlete Mikayla Blomquist has committed to Boston University for the 2023/24 season.
Located in Boston, MA, Boston University is an NCAA Division I program playing in the Hockey East Conference.
The Lake Country, BC forward has spent the last four seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with RHA Kelowna.
Blomquist joined the program in 2019/20 when they were still called Pursuit of Excellence. In 24 Female U18 Prep games she would tally 3 assists. Blomquist would return to RHA Kelowna the following season, recording three points in seven games.
In 2021/22 Blomquist would finish with 14 points in 20 games plus an additional 7 points in 5 playoff games as RHA Kelowna captured the 2022 Female U18 Prep CSSHL Western Championship.
Blomquist would help RHA Kelowna repeat as 2023 Female U18 Prep CSSHL Western Champions, posting 29 points in 30 regular season games and 2 points in 5 playoff games.
