Blazers sign YHA defensemen Ryan Michael

 

Three year Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Ryan Michael has signed a standard WHL player agreement with the Kamloops Blazers after being selected in the third round, 62nd overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Langley, BC native suited up for the Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad last season where he notched four goals and 21 assists (4-21-25) in 30 regular season games played. 

Michael, 15, scored two goals and two assists (2-2-4) in two 2020 BDO CSSHL Championship games which were cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak. 

In 65 career CSSHL games, the 2005 born defenseman registered eight goals and 40 assists (8-40-48).
