The Kamloops Blazers have signed a pair of CSSHL student-athletes in Logan Lanti and Evan Markel to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements.
Lanti joined the CSSHL for the 2023/24 U17 season, tallying 14 points in 32 games with RHA Kelowna. The following U17 Prep campaign the High Level, AB forward recorded a team high 62 points in 36 games while being named a BC Division First Team All-Star. Undrafted to the WHL, Lanti added six points in five playoff games to help RHA Kelowna capture the 2025 CSSHL U17 Prep Western Championship.
Markel, who was also undrafted to the WHL, joined the CSSHL in 2020/21 with the BWC Academy U15 team. The following U15 Prep season the Richmond, BC defenseman tallied 16 points in 30 games. Markel would record 8 points in 28 U17 Prep games in 2022/23 and 2 points in 5 U18 Prep games with BWC Academy in 2023/24.
This past season Markel had 15 points in 35 U18 Prep games with Yale Hockey Academy.
