Ava Svejkovsky Commits to NCAA Division I Program

Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete Ava Svejkovsky has committed to NCAA Division I program Colgate University for the 2022/23 season.

Svejkovsky is in her fifth season in the CSSHL with Delta Hockey Academy. She joined the program in 2017/18, recording 4 assists in 21 games with their Female U17 Prep team. Now in her fourth season with the Female U18 Prep team, the Point Roberts, WA defenseman has tallied 39 points in 75 CSSHL games with the team, including 7 in 18 games this year.

Svejkovsky was among the 23 players selected for the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team that was set to compete in the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women’s World Championship, Jan. 8-15, in Linköping and Mjölby, Sweden. The tournament was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Colgate University is located in Hamilton, New York and competes in the ECAC Hockey conference.
