AHL’s Wild sign CSSHL alum Maser

Former Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Josh Maser has signed a one-year, American Hockey League contract with the Iowa Wild.

Maser, 21, attended the Okanagan Hockey Academy during the 2014-15 season, registering 25 points (10-15-25) in 28 regular season games with their U18 Prep White team.

The Houston, B.C. product would add two goals in three games during the post-season, helping his team capture the 2015 CSSHL U18 Prep Division Championship.

Maser has spent the past four seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Prince George Cougars, most recently serving as team captain during the 2019-20 season, where he registered 48 points (29-19-48) in 62 games.

The six-foot-two forward completed his WHL career with 143 points (90-53-143) in 218 career regular season games.
