RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (11) U17 Prep
SAHA improved to 2-1-0 with an 11-1 win over RHA Winnipeg (1-1-2) Monday morning. Lucas Fisher (3G, 1A) led the way with a hat-trick while defenseman Cole Siewert (4A) had four assists to tie him for the team lead in points. Carter Jarvis (1G, 2A) chipped in with three points of his own and Paxton Smigelski (14/15) made 14 saves for the win. Alex Delorme scored the lone RHA Winnipeg goal.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs Shawnigan Lake School (4) U17 Prep
Nixon Szadkowski opened the scoring for the visitors 7:59 in but defenseman Carter Lonsdale (1G, 1A) responded for the home side 42 seconds later to even the score heading into the second. Maximus Scheffer and Wyatt Wesner (1G, 1A) traded power play goals 1:08 apart early in the middle frame as neither team was able to gain any separation. Asher Devries (1G, 1A) would give Shawnigan their first lead of the game 11:07 into the third and Bryce Todd (1G, 1A) would score the eventual game winner 2:18 later. Hudson Elke (1G, 1A) would get Pacific Coast back within one with 3:56 remaining, but Bryce Roache (36/39) finished with 17 third period saves to secure the Shawnigan victory. Rio Manhas (30/34) stopped 30 shots in net for PCHA.
Stanstead College (6) vs Bishop’s College School (7) East CCM
Greyson Hnatiuk (2G) and Joshua Seeback (2G, 1A) traded goals inside the opening 10 minutes in a game that featured two of the top teams in the CCM Division. Dominic Schnarr restored the Bishop’s lead with a power play goal six minutes later while Cole Toms and Mavrik Legault (1G, 1A) scored 44 seconds apart to give the home side a 4-1 lead after 20. Seeback cut into the deficit with his second 3:58 into the second but Samuel Bouten and Hnatiuk countered less than two minutes apart and Raphael Poulin added a power play marker to give Bishop’s a 7-2 lead midway through the game. However, Stanstead refused to go away quietly as Shane-Alexandre Dube and Alexis Lavoie tallied power play goals to close out the middle frame and make it a three-goal game heading into the third. In the final period Parker Banks (1G, 1A) and Jeremi Duclos-Claude (1G, 1A) scored 1:11 apart inside the opening five minutes to bring Stanstead within one. Despite outshooting Bishop’s 14-5 in the third they were unable to find an equalizer as Dax Doiron (32/38) finished with 32 saves in net for the win.
Indigenous Sports Academy (4) vs Notre Dame Hounds (5/SO) U17
Garrett Gamble scored 1:01 in as ISA took an early 1-0 lead in their first ever U17 game. Philo Armstrong levelled the score midway through the period, beating Peyton Van Lankveld (49/53) on the power play. However, ISA responded with goals from Jelani Dreaver and Treyden Poorman-Nippi (2G, 2A) to close out the period and give their team a 3-1 lead. Guston Buffington scored the lone second period goal to cut into the deficit heading into the third. Poorman-Nippi doubled the lead with a power play marker 6:28 into the third and the lead looked to hold as ISA remained ahead with less than five minutes to play. Leonard Kriska would get the home side within one with 4:04 remaining and a Bevan Ansley power play goal with 2:13 left would tie the game and force overtime. After OT solved nothing Aidan Dale (25/29) stopped all three ISA shooters and Carter Hepting scored the lone shootout goal to give Notre Dame a 5-4 win.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (1) vs North Shore Warriors (10) U17 Prep
Drew Fulton (1G, 4A) led the way with five points while Filip Flock (2G, 1A) and Cole Mitchell (2G, 1A) each scored twice and added an assist as North Shore beat Wenatchee 10-1 on Thursday. North Shore scored the first seven goals of the game before Orrin Clements ended the run with a power play marker late in the second period.
