The 2020 WHL Bantam Draft saw 81 Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athletes selected, including 11 in the first round.
Connor Bedard became the fourth consecutive CSSHL student athlete, and fifth in the past six years, to be selected first overall as he went to the Regina Pats with the top pick.
Lukas Dragicevic of the Delta Hockey Academy went fourth overall to the Tri-City Americans, while Tanner Molendyk of the Yale Hockey Academy was selected fifth overall by the Saskatoon Blades to round out the top five.
The Yale Hockey Academy led the way with 12 student athletes drafted, while the Northern Alberta Xtreme and West Van Academy each saw 11 student athletes selected.
All 22 WHL clubs selected at least one CSSHL student athlete, with the Victoria Royals leading the way with seven CSSHL selections.
The 11 first-round picks from the CSSHL brings the four-year total to 52, which represents 59% of all first-round selections over the past four WHL Bantam Drafts.
The 81 overall selections are tied for the second most in CSSHL history with the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft, trailing only the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, which saw 85 student athletes selected. Overall, the CSSHL has seen 247 student athletes selected at the WHL Bantam Draft the past three years.
