Delta's Budy commits to Denver

Delta Hockey Academy forward Brendan Budy announced on Monday that he has committed to the University of Denver.
 
Budy, 15, has netted 36 points (17-19-36) in 21 games with the Delta Prep team so far this season, helping them to a 24-3-0 record.
 
“Very proud to announce my commitment to play hockey at Denver University,” tweeted Budy. “Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way.”
 
The Langley, BC product recently committed to play for the British Columbia Hockey League’s (BCHL) Langley Rivermen for the 2016-17 season.
 
The 5-foot-9 forward was drafted in the fourth round, 69th overall, by the Red Deer Rebels at the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft after posting 23 points (11-12-23) in 18 games with the Delta Bantam Prep team during the 2014-15 CSSHL season.
 
Budy becomes the second CSSHL product to commit to Denver in the past 48 hours, and the sixth CSSHL product overall.
