Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U17
Tucker Porter scored 12:29 in for OHA Edmonton as they looked to earn their first win of the 2025/26 season. Milo Nolin (1G, 1A) responded for NAX five minutes later as the two teams were even after 20. In the second Conley Freeman would score the lone goal of the period to put OHA Edmonton ahead going into the third. It would take Ethan Oldford just 31 seconds into the period to tie the game but Caysin Bruno-Morin put OHA Edmonton back ahead 3:08 later. However, OHA Edmonton would run into some penalty troubles and NAX took full advantage as Rhett Dahl and Ethan Candlish scored power play goals 3:13 apart to put the visitors ahead 4-3. Satori Tam (30/33) made six third period stops to clinch the win for NAX, besting Eric Bichel (25/29), who made 25 saves in the loss.
Delta Hockey Academy (6) vs St. George’s School (1) U17 Prep
In each team’s first game of the season Otto Puhakka (1G, 1A) put Delta ahead four minutes into the first. Despite each team firing 15 shots on net in the second, Delta would take complete control of the game as Casey Pearson (1G, 3A), Santiago Skinner, Brady Cyr (2G, 1A) and Cash Field all found the back of the net for the visitors. Cyr would add a power play goal early in the third to put the game well out of reach. Jack Utsunomiya’s (37/38) shutout bid was ended by Sammy Hoeft when he scored a power play marker of his own with 3:20 remaining. Nicholas Peach (4A) tied Pearson for the team lead with four points.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) U15
OHA put up 20 shots on net in the first but it took until 1:39 left in the period for Mack Host to beat Quinn Hooper (46/48) and get his team on the board. Looking for their first win of the season, RHA Kelowna grabbed a second period lead thanks to a pair of goals from Kingston Prenioslo (2G). Kristian Bowen tied the game midway through the third with a power play marker, his fifth goal of the season. Gabriel Abdallah (1G, 1A) would break the deadlock with 6:04 remaining, putting the home side ahead 3-2. Harlan Grimsdell secured the RHA Kelowna victory, scoring shorthanded with 13 seconds remaining. Jonah Gamble (34/37) faced 37 shots in the loss.
Notre Dame Hounds (1) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
The lone game Wednesday saw two Saskatchewan teams face-off in Caronport, SK as Prairie hosted Notre Dame in a U17 Prep battle. Prairie came out hot as Ryley Lessard (1G, 1A) scored 2:41 in and Bryden Wagner, Jacob Glen and Ramsey Thompson all added first period goals of their own. Kellen Palmer-Johnson got Notre Dame on the board with an early second period power play goal before Braden Thompson (1G, 1A) scored his third of the season late in the period to restore the four goal cushion. Kaidyn Thomas (22/23) and Caden Smith (35/40) kept clean sheets in the third as the game ended 5-1 in favour of Prairie.
