Notre Dame Hounds (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) U17
A Monday morning game saw Easton Oglestone (1G, 1A) open the scoring 11:08 in as Notre Dame led 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Aiden Moen (2G) tied the game 3:49 into the second before he traded goals with Peter Forbes (2G) midway through the frame. Forbes restored the Notre Dame lead 6:07 into the third with his ninth goal of the season, and second of the game. RHA Winnipeg would outshoot Notre Dame in 41-30 but a Tobin Donahue goal with 5:16 remaining and a 39 save performance from Santiago Schyns-Munoz (39/41) secured the Notre Dame victory.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Luke Anderson (2G, 1A) scored just 52 seconds in, and Dylan Hurren (1G, 1A) added his fourth of the season midway through the first as Delta led 2-0 after 20. Anderson opened the second period scoring with a power play marker 5:09 into the frame. RHA Kelowna would get on the board and within one midway through the second as Rhett Tubello (1G, 1A) and Nate Macphee scored less than three minutes apart. Josiah Martin doubled the Delta lead 3:20 into the third and a shorthanded Maxum Pyatt goal midway through the period was the dagger as Delta jumped ahead 5-2. Porter Rossi would score a power play goal for RHA Kelowna 31 seconds later but an empty net goal by Jack Morgan (1G, 1A) in the final seconds secured the 6-3 Delta victory over the number one seed RHA Kelowna. Matthew Wong (31/34) and Micah Davidson (30/35) were in net for their respective teams.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3/OT) U15
CDA (10-10-1-1) looked for the upset win over Yale (19-4-1-0) in the lone game Tuesday with Jagger Clark scoring his 33rd goal of the season to get things started late in the first. TJ Podollan doubled the lead with his 22nd goal of the season late in the second period, giving the visitors a 2-0 advantage after 40. However, in the third Yale would start to show why they are the third ranked team in the division as Tyler Shaw scored on the power play and Sebastien Sibley tied the game 43 seconds after that. Mason Baptiste (26/28) and Bo Toperosky (57/60) kept clean sheets the rest of the way to send the game to overtime. In OT, Matthew Tang took advantage on the power play for his ninth goal of the season as Yale erased the two-goal deficit to claim a 3-2 win.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (8) U15
After a thrilling game yesterday the two teams followed that up with a tight first period as RJ Livingson (1G, 3A) and Jagger Clark (2G) traded goals less than two minutes apart. Vanik Virk and Clark traded goals 1:37 apart in the second before Matthew Tang put Yale ahead for good 1:39 later. Sebastien Sibley (1G, 1A) doubled the lead four minutes later as Yale started to pull ahead going into the third. Yale would really pull ahead in the third as they would get goals from Jack Hagen, Hudson Burns, Emmett Rumbold (1G, 3A) and Ben Beggs to claim an 8-2 win after their OT win over CDA yesterday. Landon Rivas (26/28) and Harrison Dalton (47/55) were in net for their respective teams.
Lower Canada College (7) vs Stanstead College (5) East U17 Prep
Benjamin Rumsey scored just 11 seconds in and Shane-Alexandre Dube added a power play goal 2:22 after that as Stanstead grabbed an early 2-0 lead. Jeremy Riccardi (2G) would get LCC on the board with a power play goal in the opening half of the period to cut into the Stanstead lead going into the second. The middle frame would start with a Matthew Boroff (1G, 1A) goal to even the score. Neither team would score for nearly 10 minutes until Jack Adams found the back of the net shorthanded to restore the Stanstead lead. The 3-2 Stanstead lead looked as though it would hold into the third until a wild final minute saw Riccardi, Mario Lapenna (3G, 2A) and Alex Gervasi (1G, 1A) all found the back of the net to put LCC ahead 5-3 going into the third. Lapenna added his second power play goal of the game 9:20 into the third to increase his teams advantage to three. Stanstead wouldn’t go away quietly as Zsombor Galambos (1G, 1A) and Kristian Tlstovic brought their team within one with 2:29 remaining. However, Lapenna scored an empty net goal, his 22nd of the year, to complete the hat-trick and secure the 7-5 LCC win. Alessandro Sforza (31/36) earned the win in net.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (9) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
In a battle of the Manitoba teams it was RHA Winnipeg who came out hot Wednesday evening as Keegan Bragnalo (2G, 2A) scored 5-on-5 3:09 in before Riley Buillion and Dylan Russell (1G, 1A) added power play markers to give their team a 3-0 lead. Collin Friedrich would get Pilot Mound on the board 5:20 in before Spencer Kuntz (1G, 2A) and Max Schutz traded goals 21 seconds apart midway through the second. RHA Winnipeg would close out the middle frame with late goals from Athens Shingoose (1G, 1A) and Bragnalo in the final minute of the period. Aiden Masse (1G, 1A) found the back of the net on Ryler Gates (33/36) 45 seconds into the third as Pilot Mound hoped to launch a comeback attempt. But James Stanton (1G, 1A) scored 50 seconds later and Markus Knaub (1G, 2A) and Atticus Cruz each added goals of their own to RHA Winnipeg the 9-3 win.
Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks (4/OT) vs King Heights Academy (3) East U18 Prep
The home side scored the lone first and second period goals as Aurel Sodige and Misha Shelipov gave KHA a 2-0 lead going into the third and final period. Danila Kulinkovich (1G, 2A) increased the King Heights lead to 3-0 8:02 into the third as they looked destined to win their first game of the season. However, the OHA Mavericks had a different plan in mind as Colin Moses got his team on the board with 7:45 left in the period. Dmitrii Titovskii (2G) brought his team within one 3:08 later before tying the game 16 seconds after that to force overtime. In OT, Marton Loschnig would play the role of hero, completing the OHA Mavericks comeback as they earned a 4-3 victory. Adam Voracek (35/38) and Nils Huber (36/40) were in net for their respective teams.
OHA Edmonton (9) vs Notre Dame Hounds (2) U15
OHA Edmonton outshot Notre Dame 69-14 en route to a 9-2 win Thursday night. Atticus Armstrong (2G, 1A), Josh Fenske (2G) and Kirk Girard (2G) all scored twice while Marek Fetter (1G, 3A), Max Holland (3A), Kingston Ireland (3A) and Jiseong Kim (1G, 3A) all added three assists to help lead the OHA Edmonton offence. Gus Buffington and Clarke Forrester scored for Notre Dame in the loss.
