Four current and one former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes have been selected to represent their country at the 2026 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships.
Among the 25 players selected to represent Team Canada include four current and one former CSSHL student-athlete:
- Rowan Houweling – OHA Edmonton
- Alida Korte – RHA Kelowna
- Hayley McDonald – RHA Kelowna
- Kennedy Sisson – RHA Kelowna
One current CSSHL student-athlete was selected to represent Team USA:
- Jillian McLaughlin – RHA Kelowna
The tournament will run from January 10-18 in Sydney and Membertou Canada. Team Canada will open the round robin with a game against Switzerland, with games against Hungary and Sweden. The USA will play Slovakia, Czechia and Finland before the quarter-finals start January 15.
