GAME DAY RECAP: December 12, 2025

Fort Erie International Academy (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (3) East U18 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Ontario flipped the script from their 5–1 loss to Fort Erie in November, grinding out a 3–2 win in Whitby thanks to a perfect power play and a lockdown third period. FEIA came in riding a strong 6-3-0-1 start to the season, but discipline troubles cost them early and often handing OHO three power plays that all ended up in the back of their net. Kenton Wong (1G) opened the scoring on a man advantage midway through the first, and OHO doubled the lead just 68 seconds into the second when Tristan Sarra-Bournet (1G) finished another power-play sequence for his first of the season. FEIA briefly steadied with a power-play goal from Yuri Baunov (1G), but a third OHO powerplay goal, this time from Langdon Woo (1G, 1A), restored the two-goal cushion. FEIA made it interesting when Christophe Gagne (1G) struck shorthanded at 3:10 of the third. From there, Riley Coleman and the OHO penalty kill slammed the door, killing off three minors in the final frame and preventing FEIA from tying the game.

Delta Hockey Academy Black (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (5) Female U18 Prep

Delta Green snapped their brief two-game skid and continued their dominance in the all-Delta rivalry, powering to a 5–1 win over Delta Black behind a 57-shot outing and four unanswered goals. Delta Black struck first when Arlie Sangha (1G) buried her third of the year 6:14 into the opening frame, but that lead lasted only five minutes before Delta Green’s top line answered on the power play, with Emma Kohl (1G, 1A) converting to tie it. From there, the game tilted heavily Delta Green’s favour pulling ahead on goals from Katie Olfert (2G) and Payton Finnie (1G). Any hope of a Delta Black pushback evaporated in the third as Delta Green continued to dictate pace and possession, adding insurance from Adie Schneider (1G, 1A) and a late second marker from Olfert. Despite Saysha Brace’s (52/57) 52-save effort keeping the scoreline respectable Mya Young (18/19) earns the win as Delta Green improved to 14–4–0-1, while Delta Black dropped to 9–6–1-0 and saw their three-game win streak halted.

Notre Dame Hounds (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U17

Notre Dame jumped out to an early lead and survived a late NAX surge for a 4–3 win that extended their unbeaten streak to four games. The Hounds, who were trailing the season series 2-1, came out firing, striking three times in 15 minutes. Easton Oglestone (2G) opened the scoring just 2:33 in, Devin Doyle (1G, 1A) restored the lead after Matthew Brown’s (1G, 1A) equalizer, then Kohl McDonald added his first of the season to make it 3–1 heading into the intermission. From there, Notre Dame leaned heavily on Santiago Schyns-Munoz (36/39), who turned aside 27 shots over the final two periods, many of them during four NAX power plays. Oglestone added crucial insurance with a shorthanded goal midway through the third, a moment that proved decisive once NAX responded with late markers from Rhett Dahl (1G, 2A) and Brown (2G, 1A). Despite being outshot 39–25 and spending most of the third on the penalty kill, Notre Dame held firm for one of their most meaningful wins of the season, improving to 9–5-2-0.

North Shore Warriors (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy (12) Black U15

Delta Hockey Academy Black continued their seven-game heater with a statement 12–0 win over the struggling North Shore Warriors, a matchup that featured two teams trending in completely opposite directions. Delta, one of the league’s hottest clubs with wins in nine of their last ten looked every bit like a contender, pouring 75 shots on goal and scoring four times in each period. North Shore, meanwhile, entered the day on a five-game skid, and the gap showed immediately: Easton Isfeld (1G) got the flood rolling early, Wynn Carey (2G, 1A) added two more, and Zach Giles (2G, 3A) and Kevin Goodale (1G, 3A) powered a special-teams clinic that saw Delta Black go 4-for-8 on the power play. By the time Lucas Kravcak (2G, 2A) and Dean Jones (1G, 1A) added third-period insurance, the game had long been out of reach. Holter Karpiak (18/18) quietly posted an 18-save shutout while Ayaan Rao (63/75) battled through a 63-save effort on the other side. With the win, Delta climbed to 16-2-0-0 and strengthened their case as the league’s most dominant team, while North Shore fell to 4-15-0-1, still searching for answers after being outscored 40–14 during their six-game slide.

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17 Prep

Coeur d’Alene snapped back from a tough stretch with a convincing 5–1 win over the struggling North Shore Warriors. CDA controlled the game early and blew it open with a dominant four-goal second period. Brayden Lee (1G) opened the scoring before Vladimir King (1G) briefly answered for North Shore, but that was the lone bright spot for a Warriors team still searching for their first win of the season. CDA took over in the middle frame with goals from Knox Vogel (1G), Gavin Memmot (2G), and Preston Dalebout (1G, 1A), capitalizing on North Shore’s turnover issues and a parade of matching minors that kept play choppy. The result reinforced CDA’s trend upward as they move to 6-8-0-2, while North Shore’s skid extended to 14 straight games, having been outscored 27–6 over their last five outings.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) vs OHA Edmonton (4) U15

RINK Winnipeg wins the fourth consecutive meeting with OHA Edmonton with a 6–4 comeback win, powered by a four-goal third period and a hat trick from Max Manaigre (3G, 1A). OHA, desperate to stop a slide after losing the previous night’s matchup 8–3, came out with more urgency and carried a 3–2 lead into the third, helped by goals late in the second from Jacoby Cardinal (1G) and Damon Chinski (1G, 1A). But RHA Winnipeg, winners of nine of their last ten, flipped the game instantly: Caleb Church (1G, 2A) tied it just 32 seconds into the period, Manaigre added his third of the night on the power play, and Yuto Agapito (1G, 1A) and Brantley Church (1G) added insurance to finish the surge. Goaltender Cooper Beardy (28/24) held steady with 24 saves, while OHA’s Brynley Nault (34/40) faced 40 shots in another heavy-workload outing. The win moved RHA Winnipeg to 21-2-0-0 and extended their dominance over OHA to 4–0 on the year with a combined score of 27-13, while Edmonton dropped to 8-9-2-0 and stretched their winless streak to three.

North Shore Warriors (1) vs BWC Academy (5) U17

BWC Academy tops North Shore for a third time in as many meetings with a steady 5–1 win, powered by a lethal power play and a massive shot advantage that reflected the gap between the two clubs this year. North Shore, coming off their first win in nearly a month, struck first when Grayson Hunter (1G) buried his second of the season, but BWC took over from there, outshooting the Warriors 47–21 and scoring three straight with the man advantage. Easton Coupland (1G) tied it late in the first, and second-period power-play goals from Ryker Carson (1G) and Eric Prexler put the game firmly in BWC’s control before Jaidyn Bhandari (1G) and Max Joseph (1G, 1A) added insurance in the third. Ethan Watson (20/21) turned aside 20 of 21 for the win, while Ben Boudreau (42/27) battled through a 42-save night under constant pressure. With the victory, BWC improved to 12-5-3-1 and kept pace near the top of the division, while North Shore fell to 2-17-1-0.

Yale Hockey Academy (8) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U15

Yale Hockey Academy overwhelmed Pacific Coast for the second time this season, cruising to an 8–3 win backed by a dominant 6-goal opening period that immediately set the tone. Coming in on a two-game win streak and having already beaten PCHA 8–3 back on November 8, Yale looked every bit like a top-tier 12-3-1-0 team as Emmett Rumbold (4G) exploded for four goals and Jack Hagen (1G) opened the scoring just 20 seconds in. Yale controlled possession throughout, outshooting Pacific Coast 45–27 and getting steady goaltending from Mason Baptiste (24/27) , while PCHA, who just lost a second game in row, found late goals from Koen Nicholas (1G), Luke Bowes (1G), and Nolan Riley  (1G) to close the gap but never threatened the outcome.

Balmoral Hall School (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) Female U18 Prep

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg continued its dominance in the season series with Balmoral Hall, improving to 3-0 against BHS with a 5–3 win that snapped a brief two-game skid and came despite trailing late in the second. RINK Winnipeg struck twice early through Raina Chala (2G) and Piper Holbrook (1G) to mirror the fast starts they’ve had in previous meetings, but Balmoral Hall responded with resilience, getting goals from Lydia Hill (1G), Jakiah Curle (1G), and a Kate Chuback (1G) power-play marker to take a 3–2 lead into the third. The momentum swung quickly in the final frame as Georgia O’Neill (2G, 2A) tied the game just over three minutes in before setting up Chala’s second, and O’Neill sealed it with an empty-net goal in the final two minutes. Mars McHenry (18/21) earned the win for RINK Winnipeg, while Mimi Ferreira (29/33) faced steady pressure in a 29-save effort.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs OHA Edmonton (6) U15 Prep

OHA Edmonton overwhelmed Pilot Mound Hockey Academy in a 6–2 victory, asserting control early and keeping the visitors chasing throughout. Hayden Harvey (1G, 2A) opened the scoring in the first period, followed by Braydon Lynam’s (1G, 1A) second-period goal, while PMHA responded with Max Faulkner (1G) and Zac Klassen (1G) scoring to tie it temporarily. The third period saw OHAE pull away, with Steven Leavitt (2G) scoring twice, Micah Montgomery (1G, 2A) adding another, and Deacon Gillespie (1G) completing the scoring. Connor Phillips (17/19) was strong in net for OHAE, stopping 17 of 19 shots, while Kobe Parker (47/53) faced a barrage with 47 saves on 53 shots in a losing effort. OHAE remains undefeated at 10-0-1-0, while PMHA drops to 6-12-0-0 in the season series.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) U15

Calgary International Hockey Academy edged out Northern Alberta Xtreme 3–2 in a come-from-behind victory. After a slow first period with no scoring, NAX took a 2–0 lead in the second on goals from Corbin Blatz (1G) and Myer Hipkins (1G). However CIHA responded late in the period with Mick Mantrop (1G) scoring on the power play. In the third, CIHA completed the comeback with goals from Brody Boghean (1G) and Benjamin Vialaneix (1G, 1A) to seal the win. Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs North Shore Warriors (8) U18 Prep

North Shore dominated 8–2, jumping to a 2–0 first-period lead and extending it to 6–1 by the end of the second. Jack Poole (3G, 0A) led the way with a hat trick, Vlad Ibragimov (3G, 1A) added four points and Rock Oosterveld (1G, 2A) contributed a goal and two assists. Coeur d’Alene managed goals from Akira Ota (1G) and Easton Margettie (1G), but penalties, including a major and game misconduct for Hudson Podollan, hindered their efforts. The Warriors’ high power offence and disciplined play powered the win, dropping Coeur d’Alene to 9-7-0-0 while North Shore improves to 4-10-1-1.

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (0) vs STAR Hockey Academy (6) U17

STAR Hockey Academy with a statement 6–0 shutout of Coeur d’Alene, snapping a two-game skid and halting CDA’s recent edge in the matchup after the teams traded lopsided results back in October. STAR struck twice late in the first period to seize control, with Deacon Wilson (1G, 1A) opening the scoring before Jack Adsit (1G) added another just 1:28 later and never looked back. Brody Lukinbill (1G, 2A) extended the lead on the power play early in the second, and the locals poured it on in the third as Aaron Comer (1G, 1A), Joshua Rzonca (1G), and Kyle Schierling (1G) rounded out the scoring. Jacob Gaskell (37/37) was perfect in the STAR crease with a 37-save shutout, while Liam Reed (28/34) turned aside 28 shots in a losing effort as Coeur d’Alene’s struggles continued during a tough stretch that has seen them drop four straight.

Delta Hockey Academy (4) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U17

Delta Hockey Academy continued its strong run against Pacific Coast Hockey Academy, rallying from an early deficit to earn a 4–2 win and improve to 3–0 against PCHA this season. Delta opened the scoring on a first-period power play through Toni Cipllaka (1G), but PCHA responded with power-play and late even-strength goals from Hudson Elke (1G) and Blake Bidney (1G) to take a 2–1 lead into the break. The momentum shifted in the second as Graeme Burke (1G) tied the game on the power play before Peyton May (1G) gave Delta the lead with 3:12 remaining in the frame. Despite a physical, penalty-filled game that featured multiple misconducts on both sides, Delta controlled the play with a 36–28 edge in shots and sealed the result when Ryder Miller (1G, 1A) scored into an empty net in the final seconds. Lucas Disiewich (26/28) made 26 saves for the win, while Leon Auburger (32/35) stopped 32 shots in the loss, as Delta strings a second win in a row and maintains the edge in the season series.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (0) vs Edge School (7) U18 Prep

Edge School flipped the script on Calgary International Hockey Academy with a dominant 7–0 shutout, avenging an earlier 6–1 loss to CIHA back in October. Edge wasted no time setting the tone, scoring three times in the first period through Reed Reschny (1G), Finn Howes (2G), and Evan Lynch (1G), before continuing to pull away in the second with goals from Ashton McCann (1G, 1A) on the power play and Howes’ second of the game. Easton Perzylo (1G) opened the third with a shorthanded marker and Grayson Bauer (1G, 1A) added a late power-play goal to round out the scoring as Edge capitalized on special teams, going 2-for-4, while CIHA went 0-for-8. Carsten Leyerzapf (30/30) was flawless in net, stopping all 30 shots for the shutout, while CIHA used two goaltenders behind a penalty-filled night. The win extends Edge’s winning streak to three games, while CIHA saw its momentum halted after recent success.

Delta Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep

Yale Hockey Academy earned a statement 4–1 home win over Delta Hockey Academy, handing Delta just its fourth loss of the season after the visitors came in 8-2 in their last 10. After a scoreless first, Jack Morgan (1G) opened the scoring for Delta at 13:22 of the second, but Yale answered just over three minutes later as Jonathan Bitonti (1G) tied it up to send the game even into the third despite Delta being outshot. Yale took control early in the final frame when Seth Castronuovo (1G) scored 25 seconds in, and the locals never looked back, leaning on sustained pressure and a 47–27 shot advantage. Alex Ostrovskyy (2G) provided the insurance with a mid-period goal before sealing it with an empty-netter late, as Yale snapped a four-game skid and picked up a confidence-boosting win against one of the league’s top teams. Parker Kulmatycki (26/27) was steady in net for Yale, while Oliver Bryks (43/46) kept the game close for Delta despite the high volume of shots.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4/OT) U17

Okanagan Hockey Academy extended its dominance over RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna with a 4–3 overtime win, remaining unbeaten in the season series after two regulation victories earlier this fall. RINK came out flying with goals from Oliver Peck (1G, 1A), Noam Colapinto (1G), and Connor Groves (1G) in the opening 4:19 to build a 3–0 lead, but OHA responded before the first intermission as Nathan Marques (2G, 1A) and Cole Schellenberg (1G, 1A) cut the deficit to one, with Schellenberg scoring on the power play. A penalty-filled, physical game settled down in the second with no scoring before OHA continued its push in the third, tying the game when Cohen Short (1G, 1A) finished a Marques setup midway through the period. OHA’s momentum carried into overtime where Marques struck just 38 seconds in to seal the comeback, giving OHA its fifth straight win. Holden Tamm (20/23) earned the victory in goal.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep

SAHA ended November on a stretch of success following losses to Yale and RHA Kelowna in the U17 Prep showcase four weeks ago. They’d won four straight, outscoring their opponents 28-9 in that stretch, but would bump up against a Pilot Mound Hockey Academy squad that churned out two solid performances against their provincial rivals last weekend, picking up a win and an overtime loss from their back-to-back against Prairie Hockey Academy. The first period of Friday’s clash was tight, but in the second, SAHA exploded into a lead that PMHA had no answer for. Four in the second and one more early in the third opened up a six-goal lead in SAHA’s favour. PMHA pushed back in the third and potted a couple goals for their effort, but ultimately, big offensive efforts from Nixon Bettenson (1G, 3A), Briggs Fabro (2G, 1A), Juris Busse (1G, 2A), and Liam Green (2G) led SAHA to their win.

Prairie Hockey Academy (1) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17

Prairie Hockey Academy’s U17 squad have been far from slouches in their division, posing a threat to every opponent they’ve come across. OHA Edmonton have been similarly competitive, with five of their six games in November decided by a single goal. The two teams traded an early goals, but from there, the deadlock would only be broken once. Darius Paradyil (1G, 1A) scored in the second period, and while Prairie threw everything at the OHAE net, they couldn’t find the equalizer. Maxime Poitras picked up 41 saves on 42 shots in his fifth win of the season.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs Edge School (5/OT) U15 Prep

Edge School had a difficult November in the U15 Prep division, with three of their five games seeing them bump heads with the others at the top of the U15 Prep standings. RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, unfortunately, experienced a similarly tumultuous month that ended with five losses in six games. The pendulum of momentum in Friday’s clash swung in both directions, with a pair of goals from Edge School in the first period emphatically cancelled out by a dominant RHAW second period. They’d hit the Edge School net with 26 shots in the second, and two goals apiece from Marko Malbasa and Easton Pitz (2G, 1A) sent RHAW into the third period with a 4-2 lead. The game, however, flipped again from there. Brody Antignani (1G, 3A) popped up with two primary assists on first Luke Bodtker and then Cruz Schwabe’s (2G, 1A) third-period goals. The 4-4 tie lasted just 25 seconds of overtime when a moment of individual brilliance from Cade Mazursky ended the game, with the Edge School forward taking the puck from his own zone to the RHAW net, finishing it off to give his team the victory after extra time.

Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep

Friday’s feature saw two squads go head-to-head for the second time in the young month already. South Alberta Hockey Academy bested Prairie Hockey Academy 4-2 ten days prior, a bounce-back after Prairie took the first contest at the beginning of November. Prairie led 2-0 through two, a lead maintained by a perfect penalty kill and Drake Mooney (33/36) standing tall in between the pipes. Early in the third period, Kutcher Aquila (1G, 1A) broke through on the powerplay to make it 2-1. Karter Kurpjuweit tied the game before Aquila popped up again, picking up a primary assist on Damen Vanderberg’s go-ahead goal. SAHA scored into the empty net, scoring four in the third period to turn around the deficit and win 4-2.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (0) vs Shawnigan Lake School (2) U17 Prep

In almost 52 minutes of hockey on Friday between the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy and Shawnigan Lake School’s U17 Prep squads, nothing separated the two teams. PCHA’s Rio Manhas (38/39) and Shawnigan’s Donagh Esler-Twiss (25/25) stopped everything thrown at them, but finally, in the back half of the third period, Shawnigan broke through. Spencer Currie popped up with his first goal in 13 gamest provide SLS the breakthrough, and in the razor-thin affair, only an empty-net goal from Matthew Morris was left. Esler-Twiss’ 25 saves earned him not only the win, but the shutout, to give SLS the win.

STAR Hockey Academy (1) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (6) U15

STAR Hockey Academy’s U15 squad haven’t had an easy time traversing their division this season. Their last win came four losses ago, with the last two coming by a combined score of 12-1. Through twenty minutes of play, it looked like their luck might have been taking a turn. Kiernan Kirkpatrick scored late in the first for STAR, a lead his team would hold for more than half of the second period. In that time, OHA did nothing but pour the pressure on the STAR net. Once they finally broke through, there was no looking back, with two goals from Mack Host and three assists from Reece Verrier leading OHA’s way.

STAR Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) U15 Prep

STAR Hockey Academy raced in front in Friday’s U15 Prep clash with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna, hitting the front on the powerplay and double-dipping near the end of the first to lead 2-0 through twenty minutes. RHAK, though, completely took over in the second period. Nathan Johnson (1G, 1A) and Berkeley Reid scored a powerplay goal apiece barely 60 seconds apart, with goals from Austin Schultz (1G, 1A), Ben Tyssen (1G, 1A), and Harrison Sharman (1G, 1A) all further extending RHA Kelowna’s lead beyond what STAR could reach. Ryker Kitteringham was the less busy of the two goaltenders, but still needed to make 19 stops on 21 shots to help his team over the finish line.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy vs BWC Academy U15 Prep

Unfortunately for PCHA’s U15 Prep squad, BWC Academy stole all the headlines from the two teams’ Friday evening clash, hitting the ground running and continuing offensive pressure until their victory was secure. Kristian Lima (3G, 2A) popped up with a big day, cashing in a hat-trick and five points, and leading a dominant night for goal-scoring that also saw Kenzo Gibson score two and four points, including the game-winning goal from Wyatt Lowther (1G, 3A). BWC’s ever-potent powerplay scored thrice in the 9-3 win.
