Former St. George’s School and current Calgary Hitmen netminder Eric Tu has been named the September/October CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.
Tu currently leads the WHL with a 1.79 GAA and 0.938 SV%, posting a 6-1-1 record with 1 shutout.
The Surrey, BC product joined the CSSHL for the 2021/22 U15 season with St. George’s School. In 19 games he would go 5-11-0 with a .912 SV% and 4.13 GAA, earning himself the CSSHL U15 Top Goaltender Award.
The following U15 Prep season he would post a 12-5-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and .914 SV%, leading to the Hitmen selecting him in the second round, 31st overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.
During the 2023/24 U18 Prep season he would go 5-2-0 with 1 shutout, a .935 SV% and 2.08 GAA.
Tu joined the Hitmen for the 2024/25 WHL season and has since went 13-6-4 with 2 shutouts, a .898 SV%, and 2.93 GAA.
